Terms and Conditions
The Probate Industry Awards 2025 (hereafter referred to as the Event) is organised and managed by Meerkat PR (hereafter referred to as the Organiser).
Validly registering for the Event shall entitle you to admittance to the Event as a Participant, subject to these Terms.
Final ticket prices are displayed and agreed upon on the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ page, visible on our website. Payment is required upon registration. The deadline for payment is 2 weeks before the Event is due to take place. Failure to do so could result in your ticket reservation being withdrawn.
If you register for an Event as a representative of a company or other organisation you confirm that you have authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of the company or other organisation. You shall also ensure Participant(s) from the company or other organisation are made aware of and shall be bound by these Terms.
When registering for the Event, you must provide us with accurate and complete Registration Details. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that information (including, without limitation, your email address) by updating your details on the relevant section of the applicable website or inform us via our ‘Contact Us’ page.
Unless otherwise agreed by us in advance and in writing, all Attendees must be at least 18 years of age on the date of the Event.
We are not responsible for any offence caused by the presenter or any acts or other entertainment in the Event.
Attendees are required to make their own arrangements for transport to the venue. We are not responsible for any inability to attend owing to failure of transport.
An Attendee who arrives late may not be allowed to enter the Venue until there is a suitable break in the ceremony.
Each Participant shall:
(a) observe the rules, policies and procedures of the Event, including any reasonable instructions issued by the Organiser;
(b) behave in a respectful, professional and appropriate way that does not bring risk to the Event or the Organiser.
All registrations for the Event are subject to availability and to acceptance by the Organiser at its absolute discretion.
PUBLICITY
We expressly agree that we and/or our Group Companies shall be entitled to refer to you as an Attendee of our Awards Ceremony in sales and marketing literature (including websites) and reproduce your logo and/or trade mark for that sole purpose.
VIDEO FOOTAGE & PHOTOGRAPHY
During the Event, we may shoot video footage and take photographs of the Awards Ceremony which may include video footage and photographs of you and/or your booked Attendees. We will make use of such footage and photographs in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY/ NOMINATIONS
The entry deadline is specified within the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ page and the Judging Portal. Please ensure you complete your entries within 3 weeks after nominations have opened. Please complete all sections of the form, entries that are incomplete or exceed the stated word limit will not be accepted.
No entries will be accepted after the deadline, unless specified in writing by the Organiser.
Please ensure you read the criteria for the awards you are entering via the nomination pack provided.
All completed and returned entries will be acknowledged online at the time of submission after payment has been made.
The Organisers do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage of any entry/ nomination.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into or feedback given regarding the selection of shortlisted nominations or winners.
We will not publish your entries without first seeking approval, winners are sometimes asked following the awards if they are willing to allow their entries to be made public for future marketing and promotion.
The organiser reserves the right to extend the closing deadline, amend categories or not award categories should the standard of entries received not reach the required standard.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF JUDGING
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into or feedback given regarding the selection of shortlisted nominations or winners.
Shortlisted entrants will be contacted by email (on the address provided in the application) on the shortlist announcement date. The Organiser reserves to right to adjust the shortlist announcement date, considering all are liable.
In the interest of transparency, a judge is inhibited to score on an award category that they, their colleague or their firm is an entrant for nomination.
All judging discussions are confidential and will not be shared or discussed with anyone outside of the judging panel ahead of the ceremony or thereafter.
Judges will not share confidential material, judging papers or entries with anyone. Judges will securely delete all judging materials immediately after the judging period or give materials to the Organiser who will manage this.
Judges can only access entries that they have been provided to score and will not notify anyone that they have won or that they are shortlisted ahead of the official announcements.
Judges will not provide any feedback to entrants as to why they have not won or were not shortlisted – all requests for feedback must be directed to the Organiser.
Should a judge break the rules of conduct and the code is not adhered to, they will be asked to leave the panel and not invited to judge any future awards.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SPONSORSHIP
Submission of the Agreement by the Sponsor constitutes an offer to take a sponsorship place in accordance with the chosen Sponsor Benefits (as defined in the Sponsorship Package).
We grant you the Sponsor Benefits (as defined in the Sponsorship Package).
If, for any reason, we are unable to deliver any of the Sponsor Benefits, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably practicable; and do our best to provide alternative benefits for the Event to an equivalent value of the original Sponsor Benefits.
The Agreement will come into effect once the Organiser has issued a written acceptance of the booking.
The Sponsor must pay in full, or have paid in full on their behalf, the relevant Sponsorship Fee (as defined in the Sponsorship Package) by the date agreed on with the Organiser.
If payment is not received within the required time limit, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the sponsorship without notice.
CANCELLATION BY THE SPONSOR
All cancellations must be notified to the Organiser in writing via our ‘Contact Us’ page.
In the event of cancellation, the following cancellation charges shall apply:
Notice of cancellation received up to 28 days after the Agreement has been signed – 100% of total sponsorship will be returned.
Notice of cancellation on or prior to 90 days to the Event – 50% of the total sponsorship will be returned.
Notice of cancellation within 90 days of the Event – this payment is non-refundable.
CANCELLATION BY THE ORGANISER
The Organiser may terminate this Agreement at any time by giving written notice to the Sponsor in the event of circumstances that are beyond the Organiser’s control. The Organiser does reserve the right to change venues, times and dates of the Event and will do their utmost best to ensure the Sponsor is updated with all necessary information in regards to the amendments.
PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, WITHDRAWAL & CHANGE OF VENUE
- Payment:
- Full payment for attendance is required by the date and time outlined by the Organiser.
- Failure to make payment by the specified deadline may result in the cancellation of your registration and the loss of your reservation and/or ticket to attend the Event.
- Full payment for award entries is required by the date and time of the entry deadline.
- Failure to make payment for award entries by the specified deadline may result in the removal of your entry and disqualification from judging.
- Cancellations and Substitutions:
- Cancellations are permitted up to 28 days in advance of the Event. No cancellations will be accepted within 28 days prior to the Event date, and no refunds will be issued after this point.
- The Event Organizer reserves the right to deduct any cancellation fees or administrative charges from the refund amount, if applicable.
- Refunds, if approved, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after the Event.
- All cancellation or substitution requests must be made in writing to [email protected].
- Substitutions for registered attendees are allowed, provided the request is made no later than 72 hours prior to the Event.
- Substitutes must be from the same organization as the original attendee.
- Any requests for substitutions must include the name of the attendee who will not be attending and the full name of the substitute, including their job title, contact details and dietary requirements.
- Accommodation of differing requirements for substitute delegates (e.g., dietary) may not be possible if the request is received late.
- Changes by the Organiser:
- The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or move the Awards Ceremony to another venue or make any other necessary changes at their discretion for any reason.
- In the event of a change of venue or a material change in timing, the Organiser will promptly notify all registered attendees.
- A change in venue or timing does not entitle attendees to terminate this Agreement.
- Performers and Guests:
- The Organiser reserves the right to change the event host, performers, and guests.
- Attendance of any particular guest cannot be guaranteed.
- Event Cancellation:
- In the unlikely event that the Organiser cancels the Event, any attendance fees paid will be refunded.
- The Organiser will make reasonable efforts to notify all registered attendees of such cancellation.
- Outstanding Payments:
- If you cancel a booking or withdraw your entry and there are outstanding payments, you may be liable for payment of the full attendance fee or entry fee, as appropriate, depending on the date and time of the cancellation.
Please note that this policy is subject to change at the discretion of the Organiser. Any updates or modifications to this policy will be communicated to registered attendees in a timely manner.
LIABILITY
The Organiser shall not be liable for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind arising from this Agreement or connection with the Event. This includes damages or loss of trophies and other gifts presented to the winners and highly commended. If your trophy is lost, broken or requires a replacement, the Organiser reserves the right to charge you the full cost for replacement, administration and shipping fees involved.
The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss of profit, loss/corruption of data, loss of anticipated interest, loss of damage to reputation or any indirect, special or consequential damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind arising from this Agreement or connection with the Event.
Nothing in this Agreement shall limit or exclude the liability or the Organiser for: death and/or personal injury caused by its negligence; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or for any other liability for which liability may not be excluded or limited under any applicable law.
